Next-Gen Nanocoatings” workshop at Smart Materials and Surfaces (SMS 2025) in Rome gathered experts from research and industry to discuss AI- and modeling-driven approaches for antimicrobial innovation within Safe and Sustainable by Design frameworks. Co-organized by the Horizon Europe projects RELIANCE, NANOBLOC, and NOVA-EU, the session highlighted faster and safer R&D pathways. Veno Kononenko of the University of Ljubljana took part as an invited speaker, contributing key insights on data management and data-driven nanocoatings.
